Loader works great. Can't get anything to the 3 point. The 3 position knob in the cab will not turn and is stuck in the "Position control" setting. I have played with all the linkage through the inspection door on the side of the rockshaft housing but nothing. Any advice would be appreciated.

A few years back ours would not go down. The guys at the dealer told me to go through the inspection plats and make sure everything is loose like you did. Try it again if you need to. Most likley there is a piece of dirt stuck in a valve. Just as a precaution, replace the filter in the front of the tractor. This sometimes will solve the problum too. Other than that just keep ratteling around in there with a screw driver. I did it while it was running so I could see what everything did. One last thing you might try is to turn your quadrent control lever to the draft and pressure settings to see if they work. Other than that I don't know. Good luck

I bought a tractor that the 3pt. hitch was not used. Lift links were stuck in the up position, the rocker shaft was froze up. Once I got them to go down the hyd. would raise them up. Took a little time to free them up.

I bought an 1100 several years ago and the 3 point would only raise a few inches. Turns out there is a rockshaft control knob below seat level between the left rear tire and the center of tractor was turned "off". Turned it on and the lift works great. If you soak the linkage with penetrating oil over a period of several days, you should be able to get it to work loose. You have to get it pressed down before it will turn to another setting, then pulled back up to work the lift. David

Thanks for the response. Yes...I,ve done all of those things. For years this tractor was only used to grind hay and the 3 point was in the storage position. I'm thinking that maybe one of the by-pass valves on the spools is stuck. The reason I say that is because the loader and grapple work fine and when you engage the loader with the "raise" lever the hydraulics squeel a bit. There is no unusual noises at all when I have played around with the 3 point. It would help if I new where to look or could get a flow diagram of the hydraulics for the tractor.
