The tension springs could be worn out.

Gary, Most all square balers can have that trouble
if there are not enough chamber wedges in certain
conditions. Add some more-not important what brand
they are from. You need more resistance to the
alfalfa coming thru. Chuck

Adjust the feed forks to max and set tension on bales to near max then make sure that you have at least two rows from a 7 ft. mower feeding it at once. Or do as I did dump the thing on a neighbor and get a New Holland or case or even an IH.
