Just bought a Boomer. Am new at this. Can anyone tell me what is meant by having "wheels dished in" or "wheels dished out"?

If you looked at your wheels as a " dish " you eat from.....You can imagine a dish....Stand it up on edge....the bottom of the dish, toward the tractor seat ....would be installed "dished in"....turn it around , now its "dished out".....

The inner 'dish' part of your tractor wheel rims is curved. On the compacts I think they recommend you leave them dished inward, or keeping the wheel tread as narrow as you can?

Anyhow, if you take your wheels off, turn that inner dish around, and bolt everything together again, it will change the width of your tractor - dished in is narrow, dished out is wide.
