I have an IH T-9 crawler. I can start it with ether (its a gas motor) and the engine will start run for 10 seconds and then act like its out of gas. My fuel pump only produces 2psi is that sufficient? If so, I'm out of ideas.

thanks Mike

Mike. Start at fuel tank and remove line. Let gas run for a short time. This will show if screen is pluged or not. Next remove line at carb. There is a small screen inside inlet. If you have a good flow then carb. probaly needs to rebuilt. Another check would be to run a line from tank to carb. A T9 on level ground does not need a fuel pump. Morgan

If I remember right a good fuel pump puts out 4 psi.2 psi is plenty of fuel to run an engine at idle.I believe your engine probably has a Marvel Schebler carb,if so,there should be a plug in the bottom of the carb.pull the plug out and see how much gas drains out.the float could be stuck closed or the 2 holes that are in the bottom of the carb could be plugged with varnish or dirt
