Hello:

I hope I'm not offending anyone here...but I am seeking images of tractors of very high pixels (at least 1000) that I can use for clocks and thermometers. In exchange for your permission to allow me the use of your image, I will send you a free 10" round clock and thermometer with your very own tractor FOR EACH IMAGE that is used. If anyone is interested, please drop me a line at: queenmercury@sympatico.ca. I promise to respond to all questions/inquiries. The tractors should be standing alone and complete (no people sitting on or beside them).

These would make great gifts for the upcoming Holiday Season....especially for those who love their tractors. So, if you know anyone out there, please pass this message on.

Thank you so much,
Ling

Lady, I like your style !
The "FIRST" thing I thought of was good 'ole American Capitalism. Someone taking an "'ole sows ear and making a silk purse", as someone here has already said.
But, as you can see by a couple of posts (jailkeeper & Arnie), there are those that believe that the first thing you are trying to do, is get too them.
Is it that they do not read and understand what you sent ? Or something different ?
I think you have come up with a great idea, and I hope it works out great for you.
Is this to be an ongoing project, that you will be needing pic's in the future, or a one time thing ? My project tractor (1949 Farmall Super A) is in the teardown stage. Hope to get it finished "someday". :-)
Good Luck.

UG!

when u talk about pixels when i access properties of a photo the only pixels i can find r the height and width pixels can i go by these or no. also can i go by how many kb it is. i am using a dig camera would i be better to use a regular camera or is the dig ok. i have notice the farther back from the object the more pixels it has, am i lookin at the right thing.

A digital camera is best because then you can send the image via email - quickest way.

If you go to your camera settings, it should allow you to change the image size. Choose the largest (depending on the type of camera you have - the largest setting could be 1600) - at least that's what my camera has.

Hope this helps,
Ling

If my tractor were fixed up I would let you have a pic to use without you giving me anything at all. I think it would be cool just knowing it was my tractor you used.

Hi John:

That's so very sweet of you...but I would insist you have both the clock and thermometer.

Incidently...an idea occurred to me...even if your tractor isn't fixed up, it would make a neat looking clock/thermometer if I added a sign to it that said something like, 10 more payments to go...

What do you think?

You can check out some of the clocks/thermometers listed on eBay under the user names of: eurasian_beauty and redsniper88.

Some of them are real beauties - most submitted by fabulous guys like yourselves : )

800 pixels may be okay....but I believe you have to change your camera settings to at least 1000 pixels or dpi (or higher) for a sharper resolution.

Send me the image and I'll see what I can do, k?

cheers!

No catch - honest! I am seeking images of tractors that are (preferably) newly painted/refurbished. All I ask is permission to use the photo and in exchange, I will have a free 10" clock and 10" thermometer made up and given to the owner of the image. That's it. No catch. I promise.

Comin' Guys,

Gotta read between the lines on this one. He is gonna send you your clock/thermometer as he says he will as payment for the use of your picture of your tractor for use in additional units.

He is also going to use that same picture of your tractor and sell these things to other folks as well.

That's how I read it, anyway.

Allan:

To begin with...I'm a female...not a guy, and yes, I do need permission should I decide to replicate the photo. In other words, I'm not going to steal anyone's image. I am asking for permission. I don't own a tractor myself and a friend of mine referred me to this site.

I know there are a lot of tractor owners out there who are darn proud of their tractors - especially the ones they've had refurbished. I'm offering them the opportunity of having their tractor on the face of a 10" clock and 10" thermometer - no charge. I'll even pay for shipping the 2 pieces to you.

So, if anyone is interested, the offer is open.

Ling

Hi Allan (bro!)

Yes - via email is perfect. But please, ensure the image is of the highest resolution and clear. If you send me an email, I can send you a sample of the work I've done with other tractors. They really do look fabulous. No word of a lie ^.^
cheers!
