A friend of mine who is an autobody man uses a rubber wheel in a die grinder. The rubber wheel is the consistency of a pencil eraser and he uses it to "erase" or rub off the decals. Says it works great. HTH, Glenn

dane go to your local paint jobber and ask for a stripe eraser it goes in a drill or something simaliar that turns 2400 rpm this is critical as if you turn it any faster it will hurt the paint underneath just take your time with it and you will find those decals couldnt have came off any easier if they fell off oh and the stripe eraser is made by astro and it costs about 13.00 plus the arbor hope this helps

Depending on the type and age of the decals, some heat may help loosen them. A hair dryer set on high may work.
