I bought a 4400 Combine parts book of ebay on the 29th of October from Brendan Gryba, 910 8th Ave. N., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and never received it. He will not answer my emails and other people have left nagative feedback for him now. Anyone know him or have similar experiences?

I've heard that if you pay with a USPS money order and get cheated that it's a felony and the postal service can go after them.

I just had the same problem, had no problem contacting the guy to get proper amount to send him. After that could not get ahold of him. Ebay and paypal protection policies are a joke, I jumped through their hoops for 2 months with no results. They finally told me they determined the seller was at fault but they could not retreive my money. Since I paid with paypal off my credit card I called my card company. I had my money credited in full amount within 1 week on my card. The day after my credit I got a nasty letter from paypal saying i should have contacted them first about my problem...idiots. If you paid with your credit card, call them they will rattle some chains over at ebay and paypal, you mean nothing to these corporations, but i'm sure their is a special phone where a major bank will call them!

File a complaint with E-Bay!

I got a guy's account (knivesandstuff2iv4) shut down for scamming me. He jerked me around for almost 3 months (which is outside of the ebay complaint filing time period) but I still filed charges and jumped through all the hoops. It took ebay about 3 more months to respond to my complaint, and then it took another two and a half months before they sent me a check for about 1/3rd of my loss ($66.10). But they shut the guy's account off... and he had a rating of "1095" on his feedback. I kept printouts of the sale page, printouts of all emails. I sent copies of them all to ebay. At the time I filed, I figured that though it was past the deadline for filing... atleast I would still get my licks in! It worked!

File charges! Even if it seems too late by the rules for filing! More people should complain and jump through the hoops! Get these cheats shut sown!

I made one big mistake though. I responded to his "hate" feedback that he left for me on my feedback list. A person only has one chance to respond to negative feedback and I used it to rebut his venom. I should have not responded until I heard the final ruling from ebay... I could have posted that I shut the @%#$&%@'s account down!!!

(Even though I won the complaint, and ebay shut his account... they would not remove that one negative feedback from my account!!!)

There should be a trophy room on ebay to display all the heads of those SOB's that get caught ripping people off!

you might have shut his account down, but he was
probably back on the next day with a new account.
You can't beat the professional scammers.

I saw an ad in the Houston Chronicle classifieds last night - "Wanted to buy ebay accounts with positive feedback, will pay top dollar." With people like this around, it's hard to tell who to trust.

Probably changed names, by now, on e-Bay. They are only interested in revenue and that means sellers.
