"Well It's 40 Below and I Don't Give a ----- -!!!! Got In My Pick-up Truck and I'm Off To the Rodeo." .....

Woke up this morning and it's 40 below here in sunny Manitoba. Both F and C are the same at -40. It'll be a long way south to a rodeo today.

The name of the band is Gary Lee and Showdown. That song has been coming up as David Allen Coe since the Napster days. Somebody must have had it labelled wrong and millions have shared it that way. It was written by Gaye Delorme.

I agree about Kazaa, it's a real pain to get rid of. I use Bearshare.com or WinMX.com to download music. They both work good and no spyware.

The band is Showdown. Aka Gary Lee and Showdown, they wetre from in and around Medecine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The original album was in 1980. It was called Welcome to the Rodeo, on the Damon label. They also released it on CD in 1994 on the Soundtrek label entitled The Rodeo Song.

Global warming..... .that poor ole Al Gore; just can't win for losing. Recently gave a speech in the Northeast (Boston?) addressing just that; record-breaking cold on that night. I feel I can talk about him; claims to be from my state; actually his Dad was from TN, but he's from D.C.
