Well heres the deal I have a friend that has 2 tractors, hes going to keep one and sell the other. question is which one to keep?
One is a MF super 90 runs good missing some body metal but other then that ok. The other is a we believe a farmall 400 with trip bucket loader.
he wants to sell one of them which does he sell and which does he keep, he wants a working/farm tractor and wants to be able to find parts and make good uses of it. What say you guys??
Also anybody want a MF-S90 or a Farmall 400 bith will be in good working order and painted, both have good tires MF has 3 point and farmall 2 point, both have wide front ends the farmall has a trip loader on it. Which would you sell and which would you keep????
thanks for any and all answers.

I agree with Pete keep the farmall. It already has a loader on it. Either way if you sell either one somewhere or sometime down the road you'll bewishing you had a loader.

Keep the Farmall. Parts are readily available new or used. Also the loader is always a handy thing to have around.

I'd keep the MF90. Stronger unit and has 3-pt.

I would sell them both as neither is a very good all-round tractor. Get something like a Ford 5610 with a front loader.

I owen Masseys,IH,and Case IH.I have an IH F806 with 2 pt with 3 pt conversion which in my opion is not as good as factory 3pt.True the multi-power was troublesome, but also was the TAs.If used the correct way both were great options.Very hard decion I would keep them both, but I could only keep one.I guess I would keep the IH 400 for the loader.Just my 02.

I would sell both and find something better
for the money.Neither is a real desirable
tractor, the 90'S had head gasket problems,
multipower problems,the 400 is a better tractor
but awkard to use especially with a wide front.

If the Farmall had a WFE, I guess I would keep it. Parts are very easy to come by and I think a little less spendy than MF. I'm biased though because I have Farmalls.

Mike has the right idea unless you are into tractor restoration. Sell them both and get something newer.

Yes my hobby is to fix up old tractors and at least make them look good and make them ready for working again. I'm retired and have to have something to do just to keep from going crazy. LOL
