Before you pull pump do as one of the other posts advised check the pressure switch, turn off power , open faucet to let off pressure, remove switch and look at the bottom of it where the water goes in it and see if there is a flake of rust , mud or something that is restricting the water from entering it.

I had a simular problem, may symptons were an intermittent snapping, fast re-cycling of the pump (turn on a tap and the tank pressure went low fast the pump would come on, build pressure fast, then repeat about every 7 seconds while the tap was on or flush). My submersible is 220-240v, I took the control box off (just pulls out) and took it to an electrical co they changed the capasitor and something (can't remember the name of it) else that wasn't included in the one at the hardware store. $ 85.00 + $35.00. Then I re-set the Air Pressure and High - Low Limits as per instructions on the tank.
p.s. I was told if I left it snapping it would have damage the pump. Hope this helps.

how deep is your well? do you have steel or plastic pipe in it? if its steel,it is a bear, but if plastic just lay a 55 gallon drum on its side at the top of wellhead and secure it to something, possible well casing or stakes in the ground.Pull pipe up and over rounded side of barrel, hook it to a tractor or lawnmower and slowly ride, ride, ride. I've pulled 400 footers this way, never hurts a thing.

That sounds like real good idea, but mines plastic pipe and only about 100ft. . Me and my son did it by hand but if I ever have to do it alone that sounds like the way to go.
