The coil inside your voltage regulator that actually regulates the voltage is the one wound with the smallest (finest gauge) wire. To increase the regulated voltage, you need to SLIGHTLY increase the tension on the spring that is attached to the contact arm on that coil assembly. Older regulators had an adjustment screw for that purpose, on many of the newer units you have to actually bend the tab where the spring is attached to the lower frame of the coil. CAUTION... try this carefully, and at your own risk! Disconnect the battery before removing the regulator cover, and replace the regulator cover before re-connecting the battery. Make a very slight increase in the tension of the spring, and then reinstall the cover on the regulator. Start the engine, and allow some time for the battery to charge, and the system to come up to operating temperature, and then check the voltage to see if you have increased it a little. Repeat, if necessary.
