Howdy All,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to get (or make) romote hydraulics for an 8N Ford. I don't really like 3 piont hitch equipment. They don't work the ground near as well as pull type equipment. I know 8N's have the power to use a lot of the smaller pull type equipment, but most are raised and lowered by hydraulics. I've looked into some of the hydraulic pumps that you can put onto the live pto, but I don't think they produce enough pressure and volume to operate the cylinders (they are also quite expensive). Does anyone know of any plans for something like this or have any ideas to fabricate a working system? I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

Pto pumps can be so large as to produce more power than your 8N can put out - and you do not have a live pto on the back of your 8N.

Did you mean a front motor pump mounted on the front where a crank would go? They might be light on volume for some jobs, but should have plenty of psi. As they are typically to run a loader which has several large cylinders & a heavy load, should be plenty of psi & volume for what you want.
