i am looking to buy one of these tractors and was wondering what the differences were between the two. also would like to know if they cost alot to restore\rebuild motor pumps sheet metal etc...?

D17 came with 28 inch rear tires, around 53 hp. D19 came with 34 inch tires, about 63 hp. D19 was the first AC with decent size rubber for the hp, but had problems with cracked heads.

try going to www.tractortips .com and look up the tractor it will give you h.p. and weight also what size tires etc the d19 is a pretty big tractor the d17 is a mid size i belive the 17 is around 45 pto hp the 19 is almost 70 the 19 is a 6 cyl gas the 17 is a 4 cyl good tractors with lots of wheel grip thats what i know hope it helps!!!! wayne
