Looking for show information-Northeast Indiana Steam & Gas show Aug 12th-15th. I have the show
guide, but would like a 'local' assessment of the
previous shows. It's a long way from home !!!!
Thanks

I live about 9 miles from the show grounds and belong to the club. I have watched the show grow from less than 100 total exhibits to 400 or more. Last year feature was Ford but only drew about 55 because it was the same weekend as the Ford anniversary in Dearborn. Some years feature will draw over 200. Nice flat grounds, bleachers for the parade, saw mills , stationary steam engine, boiler, 16 traction engines last year, lots of gas engines, all in all a nice show. Not too much camping but several motels in less than 20 miles. Also other things of interest nearby, Amish Acres,Shipsewana flea market, and other things of general interest. steve

Steve: I've tried the phone number listed in
the show guide-no answer so far-I'll keep trying.
Do you have (tent) camping on the grounds and where exactly is the show grounds ? I have a map
of LaGrange if I had an address or something to
work with. It's almost 200 miles...I'd like to
know some details before driving that far to
exhibit my 1950 LOVE .

I will check about on site camping. The show is located at the fair grounds which is across the road from the high school.I think the address may be county road E 100 N. If you e mail me I will try to get exact info for you, If you look at a map the grounds are in the north east section of town. steve

Never been to it, but I'm certainly going to look into it - I'm not far from there. During the week, I'm in IL, on weekends, I'm in Elkhart. I'll look into it. I stumbled on one last year in Will County (IL) taking a short cut down a dirt road, I think about that time too, and it was great (flea market and lots of old iron). I was looking forward to it this year, but the sign that's been there for years is gone, and I'm thinking that one was a one shot for me. I'll ask around about LaGrange this weekend.

Been to that show several times and is a good show. They always have a good turn out on feature tractors. Parts, toys, flee market. Tractor pulls, Steam engine pulls, Steam engines plowing ground.

I'm going to try to call the number listed in the
show guide, but I think maybe, the name must be mispelled. We primitive (tent) camp and was
curious about the local area. My "Streets-98" isn't much help locating the grounds.
