I"m from Pecos, Texas. My grandfather just got himself a 1947 International Cub Tractor. It"s an antique and I was wondering if anybody could help me with finding the value of it. Is there a bluebook for tractors like there is for automobiles? If anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

There aere books out there, but you mize well just throw them out the window. They are never accurate. A tractor value depends on how much a person wants it. Go to a auction and sometimes you would think a person is nuts for what they pay and sometimes they go dirt cheap cause no one there wants it. I never look at $ when it comes to a tractor. If you like it GET IT,Have Fun with it,fix it up,use it,or what ever. There are thousands of other things out there that are a bigger waist of money that we never really stop to realize.

Can I offer a suggestion without sounding like I'm poking my nose into your question? Don't worry about it's value. You know what you paid for it so why bother with what some book or somebody else thinks it might be worth. Just enjoy it, maybe fix it up a bit or whatever you want to do with it. Once the money thing kicks in, you might not enjoy it as much. Just my 2 cents (oops, there's that money thing again)!

According to my "Used Tractor Price Guide, 2002 edition" the 1947 Cub is Fair=$710 Good=$1240 Premium=$1610. Might want to buy yourself 2004 edition of the guide.

Tractor values are a very subjective issue. If there is someone who really wants your tractor it could be worth its weight in gold. Then offer it to a wholesaler and it will have little value. The best way I know to try and determine an approximate value is to research on this web site through the for sale ads. See what others are selling the same tractor for and figure from there.
