Remove the yoke and hang it using a chain from the clapper bolt to the tree branch. Attach a line from the clapper and use it to ring your bell

In order for them to wake you up they would have to rise BEFORE you. I have seen too many kids do that.

If you can't find a yoke you can make one out of a couple old cultivator shanks. Cut and weld them to fit and for best look. Add your mounting bracket for a tall post and paint flat black. Of course you could alway bend your own or keep hunting for an origional or find something else that could work.

Why not make a real nice yoke and put it up on post so you can pull it with a rope? Anybody can hang one from a tree.
