You might try Rough and Tumble in PA. Red Dave could tell you about that. And it's not that far from you.

alg,

I like the Camp Creek Threshers show outside Waverly, Nebraska. July 16 & 17 this year. Featured tractors and engines this year: John Deere.

I really do not like going there,Arden that is.Too many pullers and too many junk dealers.I like the one in Bellwood. Not a big show, but more quality and rarity of tractors. Not knocking Arden, just dont like it!

Portland show is a great engine show but I think the best is the Old Threshers Reunion in Mt Pleasant Iowa. It is huge and with much more than just engines and tractors.

If you want the Grand Daddy of all shows Mt. Pleasnat has to be it. BUT if you plan on attending plan early and make reservations because everyone else is going to be there too.

If you come this way over Labor Day, You can go to the show In Mt. Pleasant, IA for a couple of days, but need reservations now, it is a small town and it will fill up fast. Then on the way back east, there is a small show at Argyle Lake State Park in Colchester, IL. Usually a lot of tractors, quite a few gas engines, and huge flea markets if you are into that. Then farther east is the Central States Threshermans Reunion, in Pontiac, Illinois. A lot of tractors, quite a few gas engine and garden tractors, some flea markets. usually has about 10-12 steam traction engines in use at any given time. It is also a smaller show, but a nice little show for a days visit. The two last ones can be seen in one day, the one in Mt Pleasant is a two day show if you want to see it all and take your time doing it. They also usually have some big name entertainers there at night. Last year Brad Paisley was there with some of the older country music singers the other nights.
