Do I recall correctly a device which attaches to the tractor and the 3 pt which will lift the rear end of the tractor - or did I eat some bad pizza?

Any pictures/links?

thanks

Our IH 300 utility would lift the rear wheels of the tractor. Note that this is not "really" a 3-point--it"s an IH "fast-hitch" 2-point setup. Sure did make putting tire chains on easier!

You recall correctly. It is a tractor jack made by Ford. They can be found on e-bay from time to time. It lifts all four wheels at once. James

Case made one that raised just the back end of tractor Using the lift arms of the Eagle Hitch. There is a picture in the owners manual for Case 300 series tractors. If I can get my scanner to work correctly will post on this forum or can email it to you. I took some digital pictures of it, but did not come out very clear.

Oh shoot keith, lights are coming on now. I have some kind of stand that is marked D-C S-C and have wondered for years what it is. I'll get a pic and email it to you.

What part of "Gods country" are you in Keith? I'm in Hillsboro, just west of Portland.

That should be somewhere around Pendleton I think, right? Nice country. My dad had a ranch in Antelope years back. I sure do miss that country. It's so nice and quiet.

Or if you got a IH with a fast hitch, you can lift it with a block of wood.

Van: Just looked at that Ford device, don't think I'd want to tackle a very big tractor that way.

On the IH, SC, 200 and 230 will do it quite easily. My Farmall 300 with full chloride and one set of wheel weights would not lift rear wheels. My uncles 300 utility with chloride would. My Farmall 560 with no weight added would not raise rear wheels. They would each raise one wheel at a time. That seemed to be the story with larger IH, some would, some wouldn't. I think it was a case of how much weight added.

Hugh,
Both of my 300 Farmalls will lift one side and one will lift both, pump is a little weak on the one. And no I would not want to lift anything of any size with that ford rig.
