I recently acquired (inherited) a late model Farmall tractor. I believe it is an A model. The model number is FAA and the serial number is 271217 and all the research I"ve done shows that the Model A"s serial number sequence didn"t reach the 270000 level, anyone have any ideas.

Thanks Bob, do you believe it really is a Super A? It has a lift system on it and is in really good condition. I want to work it over and restore it. It belonged to my grandfather and was purchased by him second hand in 1958. My grandmother is still alive but can't remember what they payed for it or what model it is, only the year it was purchased. My dad was 17 years old at the time and can't remember either. I'm now 35 and want to fix it up and give back to my dad (age 66).

Super "A"'s have the built-in hydraulic kift system.

"A"'s do not.
