Hi Guys,

Its 72 degrees, it is the fourth day of May, grass needs cuttin' and I'm just plain tired of waitin' around. Got the mowers out and finally pulled those derned chains off today!

It's summertime, boys!

Allan

That's the first pic I've seen of that H without his feet bound. I thought those chains were welded on.

is an understatement! Full-blown wacko if ya ask me. Naw, just kiddin'. I admire your drive. Takes alot of mettle to see a dream and actually make it happen.

Watch that blood pressure. Listen to the doc or I'll come out to NE and whup ya.

Now hook that mower up and get busy. You're gonna be selling the place you're in real soon, and it needs to look good to bring top dollar.

Oh Yeah,

Now for "the rest of the story":

I'm so darned worked up over this silly little farm. That dream is so darned close I can almost reach out and touch it. It is just inches away and I can just about smell it..... .

So, we gets back home from our little excursion out to the country last night and all of a sudden I'm feelin' a little "woozey" in the old noggin'.

Wife is the medical one around here and promptly puts me on her machine. Blood pressure is thru the roof and it has came on all of a sudden like; a week ago it was just fine; just like a 20 year old stud.

She says I'm going to the emergency room....Nope, I won't hear of it 'cause I just know it is temporary because I'm all excited 'bout this high-plains 'want'.

This morning, I'm still a little wobbly, we check it again and it is higher still. I can't stand up without wanting to fall down.

Into town we race and by the time the doc takes the pressure, it is higher yet, clear up to 178/111. We're talkin' your basic stroke time here.

Long story short, I'm 60 years old and have absolutely no business in this ever-lovin' world buying a derned old goofy farm. :>(

On beta blockers now; by 4pm the pressure had dropped to normal..... but yes, I know that I'm crazier than a loon.

But by Henry, I'm gonna have that dirt and I'm gonna stick a plow in the ground once again or I am literally gonna die tryin'!!! :>)

Be careful what yer askin for. I came into the house after being out all day for the first time this season a couple of weeks ago, and someone says "you're getting a good tan there". I looked in the mirror, grabbed a towel and wiped my face, then showed them the diesel soot on the towel. LOL.

It'll come, calm down, and quit eatin so much sugar. Just jokin about the sugar. I rode with a guy yesterday to do a phone repair where they make Tootsie Rolls, and a million other products they own. Two are Sugar Babies and Sugar Daddies. Now, if I were eat a box of them things, would find myself walking backwards up a flagpole, then a few spins around on the top. Did you know that they used to make Tootsie Rolls with peanuts in them? Before my time. I need to eat that stuff like i need...

Calm down, will come.

Mark

Allan you made my day. I get so tired of hearing people b!tch about hating their jobs and they "wanna someday" but never muster up the balls when someday comes. It is scary as heck I know persoanlly, but dang I'd rather die pennieless with a smile doing, or trying to do something I've dreamed of then fill my coffen with wishes. Now take care of yourself and whether you are relegious or not you are in my prayers tonight. This little farm of yours is an inspiration to others too.

Yup that's my kind of mower. wait til the over-your-head-tall weeds dry down in the fall and push them up in piles. The place will look real nice all winter.

Allan, That is a quick tatch bucket right? Take the bucket off when you mow. But I think you should get a Ford or Ferguson (I prefer Ferguson)to mow with. That is what I did.

Godd luck,be careful and have fun.

You can get a Fergie to do anything but grocery shop or dishes. Others have prolly got them to do that too. Once you get the Farm and are doing what you REALLY love to do I bet your health improves 200%. That is what I see when I meet the retirees from my work. Take it easy, calm down and enjoy the ride.

Allen, What you need right now is to slow down and get yourselk a big bowl of poke salid and hot wilted lettice to clean out your system. It helps get the BP down every time.
