Hi folks. Have you ever used this product, Mr Moly in the U.S., Molyslip in Canada, in any of your engines? Tractor, combine, truck, car, mowers, whatever.
How well did it work? Did you like it? Did your engines like it?
Thanks for your answers.

I read a lot of technical information about moly before it was available and thought it would be good to try. Later when it did became available, I used it and thought it worked OK, but really didn't get any fuel or power improvements to back it up. Others who were using it at the time said both power and fuel consumption improved. They stopped using it because it was building up in the oil pan and lumps were coming out during oil changes. I used it at one third up to one half recommended rate and only every other oil change. According to the tech articles, moly will coat the moving parts and has staying power, therefore really one doesn't need to overkill adding it. I haven't seen it available locally for quite a few years. Yes I would use it again, but in the manner I used it before. Overall I think the main benefit is preventing cold start wear, and a little will do a lot of good.

Save your money. There was a big push a few years ago with the Moly products. Moly is a solid particle and big problem is keeping it in suspension in the engine. It will settle out and can cause problems. I wouldn't use it. Just use a quality oil and filters. Moly won't save you any gas, in spite of what they claim.
