I am interested in finding information on the Leader Tractor Co. History, owners of Leader Tracrors etc. Possibly seeing if any family relationship, as how my family name is Leader.
My grandfather was a farmer in Lenawee Co. Mich.
and I worked 43 yrs. plus on farms in Mich. I am 53 yrs. old and have a 10 acre horse farm in Allegan Co. Mich. and a proud owner of a 1949 FARMALL M.

My Dad had a 1st cousin that lived 1/2 mile from us, he had 2 Leaders. He was going to be a dealer but did not ever sell one. We used one of them one year to pull a bundle wagon when we thrashed. Dad had a Super A, the Leader had a 3 speed trans. it would run faster in road gear than the Super A and had more power.

We will be featuring Leader tractors at our summer show this year and Ed will be there with at least a portion of his collection.

Thanks for sending me the web site, it sounds like July would be time to put on my traveling shoes and go for a visit. We have a vintage tractor show in our area The South Haven, Mi.
Threshers and farm equipment. I'm not sure of the date but I can find out. South Haven is on Lake Michigan shore across the pond from Chicago,Ill.

Thanks Missouri Boy I got the E-mail. Did'nt know there was such interest in LEADER tractors or that Ed Hahn had a LEADER tractor club. I saw one once in a line up of used tractors many years ago in Ohio, and recently on RFD tv on a Max Armstrong special. I was interested in finding info on company history and if I have any relationship to founders of company.
