I got a new mag/governor drive unit for my Farmall BN. The new unit does not have a timing mark stamped on it. Anybody know how I could get the gears timed without a mark to go by? Thanks

When the #1 cylinder is at the top (TDC), the slot that drives the mag is horizontal.

You should be able to figure it out from there, no timing marks needed.

Bob- what about the two dots that mesh with the idle gear? I used the old mag drive to mark a dot but my idle gear doesn't have two dots to match it up. It has one dot and a couple teeth away has a dash line stamped into it. These are the only two markings on the idle gear I could see. Do I use one of these or am I missing seeing something? I looked hard today turning it over by hand and these two markings were all I could find. Thanks for your help.

Bob-found the double dots on my cam gear. Don't know how I missed seeing them. Should be OK now. Thanks
