My Ford 2N overheats sometimes. Usually when it is working hard. But yesterday I was mowing the pasture, it was 87 degrees outside, and not working too hard, it started to overheat. The radiator is full. Maybe a new water pump? Any other suggestions? Thanks

You wrote "Maybe a new water pump?"
Doubtful, but possible.
Usually radiator core is choked and needs back-flushing or more. Could be a lazy thermostat. Could be timing is late. Could be it is running too lean. Could be a collapsed hose. Could be radiator cap on a pressurised system. Could be block needs flushing, if refilled with hard water for lots of years. Could be slack or worn out fan belt.
Also depends on what you mean when you say it is overheating. Guages are notorious for reading anything but accurate. Maybe you are using straight water and would benefit from using an anti-freeze mixture. Lots of possibilities. Does it throw water out? Does it boil? Does it leak water?
Enough to go on with?
Hope this gives you a few suggestions to check out.
Regards, RAB

Your radiator is probably just overfull. You should only fill it to cover the radiator core.

P.S. The 9N, 2N, 8N Board (on this site) is an excellent source of information for these tractors...
