Need to replace both rear tires on my Farmall Cub. One tire, tube, mounted and filled with windshield washer fluid $170 seems high to me but can't find anything cheeper of equal value. The real question is what do you all think of washer fluid instead of cal. clo.

I would rather just hang iron and forget about fluid this way I can take weight off when not needed and tires last longer on road.

I've had good luck with WW fluid. If I remember right your a little north of me but it should still work ok up there. I have one tire filled with cacl and one with wiper fluid and don't see much differance in the 2. But I also fill my own tires not very had to do. All you need it the page from an owner manual I have to do it easy. If you would like a copy drop me an e-mail.

If it was me - I'd leave 'em alone. I've had enough rim headaches from calcium chloride. But other than my own humble opinion, I can't hep you with the windshield washer vs cal clo question; except that I know that washer fluid will freeze if it gets, and stays very cold.

I would recomend that you look for someone local who sells Rim Guard tire ballast. It is a base instead of an acid so it cannot cause rust and also it is much heavier per gallon than window washer fluid. Here is the web address. Link I am in Iowa so depending on what part of Mo you are at I would be glad to ballast your tractor.
