That thing sort of reminds me of Me. Old, rusty and useless, but an agitator nonetheless.

That"s not a propeller, silly! He"s getting ready for the latest tractor show favorite event; the wind-powered tractor races! We"ll put those Arabs and oil companies out of business yet.

Be carefull with them tractor/boat converters if you have 540/1000 PTO. I hooked mine up and forgot to shift the PTO down to 540. I had a tractor/airplane-boat for about 250 feet before I got her shut down.

What you've got there is the rear half of the drive system for a Drickelman model 18 Kelp Binder. There used to be quite a few of them in the Cayman Islands before the 1954 kelp price crash.

We had two of those gizmos on our Dairy farm. One we kept mounted on a IH 450 and used it to churn butter in a large stainless vat. The other one we had mounted on a 730 John Deere and used it to make Frosties for Wendys when Dave was a struggling entrepreneur.

I don't think that's for turning a tractor into a boat at all. I think is for when the power goes out, you stick that through the kitchen window as a fan during dinner time. Gotta be kind of careful reaching for the potatos though - "ping, ping, OUCH, ping, OUCH".

What it needs is a heater then maybe it could rival the amount of hot air blowing out of the White House:)

Always was looking for a pontoon with a 3pt for those wet springs I get. Never thought of getting one of those manure agitators! :)
