I need to haul a ford 5610 with a bucket. I have a Chevy 1 ton but will need to get a trailer.

Does anyone know the weight and length of this tractor. What is the smallest trailer that I should consider for this setup.

Thanks for your help

Frank;
My 5610 II 4wd, 18.4/34 loaded tires weighs just shy of 12 000 lbs

I would figure a 5610 at closer to 5 ton with a loader, 4wd and loaded tires. The other figures listed sound right for a basic weight. I would guess that the length would be about 15' with the loader. So a 20' trailer would probably suffice, depending upon the axle placement. You need to be able to balance the best part of the tractor's weight over the trailer axles, especially if you go with a bumper hitch trailer. That's a good chunk of weight to handle without a goosneck. That's about all I'll say about trailers and pickups. My experience is more with straight trucks and tags.....

A 5610 and 5610 S had less than 100 lbs difference so will go with the higher number, 5610 at 5760 factory. Add for any weights including fluid in tires. Depending on the loader and bucket size add a 1000 lbs or so, then another 1000 for the trailer. Still well under my Duramax tow load. You did not say what you have in your 1 ton so hard to say there. Probably could load on a 16 foot with the bucket curled in. Would consider a 20 foot and if possible a goose or 5th wheel version. Brakes are a must. Also be sure to tie down front and rear with binders both ends. Good luck

Forgot, use at least a 12000 lb trailer, if you are buying one, get one that is big enough for now and later, if this is the only time you will haul consider having it hauled for you.
