What's your favorite hat to wear? Mine's plain white with John Deere logo on front. Well, it used to be white anyway. "No, mom, you can't wash it." Please share, thanks.

Light blue all wool fitted Univ of North Carolina hat in the winter. Guy I used to work with got it as a gift when he visited his kid in the service in N.C. Did not fit him, so I asked "How much?" Got no answer, and since it fitted me perfectly, and knowing he had a weakness for Butterfinger candy bars, I offered to buy him the biggest one at the gas station. He bit, and the hat was mine. Another one I wear is the Pheasants Unlimited Rooster Booster. Since I like JD"s, and HATE there broken legged new logo, I have not found a good JD hat to wear. I do have a cheap mesh knockoff JD hat I wear sometimes in the summer.

Cheap little cap. Eight or nine years old. It has a custom logo of Muddy Valley Oregon that my mom put on it for me. Wife gets embarrassed when I wear it. Friends say it needs an oil change. Best part is that it has the chevrons of a Marine seargent on it.

Current is a dirty black CAT hat. Summer hat around the home place is generally a white straw cowboy hat...cant take that hot sun bating on my head like I did when I was younger.

Well t is not my favorite by any means but I am forced to wear a Resistol 3 1/2" Brim Straw Hat most of the Year. Basilcellcarcinoma removals from the end of my Nose and the top of my right Ear dictates this. When I go to town special I wear Sun Screen and my White Grey Hawk Golf Club Cap. I have dozens of Caps but have some as decoration in my Garage and Shop.

Don't want anyone to get upset as it was a joke but: In the early 70s a lot of folks were moving to Texas from the New York area. I was an installer for the phone company at the time and had a cap that said "I don't care how you did it up North"

My favorite cap is a gray ball cap with a partial blue bill with an Americam flag on it. It has Air Force acrossed the front in bold dark gray lettering. Now the most important part the word Retired is located just below the Air Force;)

I don't have any one hat in particular I wear more than any others except for my work hat. Then it varies as to what vender is giving away hats at any given time, and wether it's a light colored one that'll get saved for nonwork related occasions or wether it's dark in color to hide grease. Currently I've got one that's got a camo pattern on it, that hides grease spots really well, that I wear every day. The main thing is no matter what color it is it has to be comfortable, also I preffer the ones with the preformed/rolled bill, otherwise I form it myself.

My denim colored cap with emblem of the great state of Texas on the front and TEXAS in capital letters above that.
Goes well with my cell phone leather holster with a metal state of Texas emblem overlayed with a "Lone Star" emblem.
Y'all probably don't understand the why of it.

In winter, for chores a brown Carhartt(sp?) cap with earflaps, for going to town, a black carhartt cap with earflaps. In spring, summer, and fall, I like a mesh top cap with a classic tractor on the front. I buy them at a local flee market for about $3 a piece. Usually wear out about three a year. Only one left from this past year is one with a Super 88 Oliver on it.

My old (it was gray) B&O railroad solid ball cap. I've worn it running chainsaw & loading hay onto trailers in wintertime til it is sweat-stained a putrid brownish, dark gray; it looks like it's sopping wet still. But it FITS; It fits frontward, backwards, even sideways & I can pull it down to near my eyebrows & it won't blow off when rolling down the road at Farmall speed. Must have 30 caps-none fit like the old B&O! Have lots of shoes-none FIT like the old Reoboks! Have half dozen round point shovels-the one Fits best. Have one sport coat that Fits. Have 16 tractors, 5 brands, all good-none FITS like the ole 826. At my age it must feel good-cause I'm too old to see, hear or taste.

Interesting topic, so here goes. #1, John Deere Des Moines Works. Mainly from sentemental value. Got it when we (Dad, Grandpa, and I) went out to the plant for a tour as our new planter and drill were built. Tried to find a picture, but couldn't. *great spring break, too*
#2 Caterpillar, with the logo that matches my belt buckle.

Gray had with red bill. Vintage red Ford Tractor logo on front. I pasted the patch on the hat myself. I liked it so much I made about 4 dozen more and sold them on ebay for between $25 and $40 each.

My other favorite is my 2005 Utah Utes Fiesta Bowl hat.

Used to be a blue cap with the logo for the company I work for - lost that one on an in door roller coster in NJ and did not feel like sticking around till after closing to retrieve it.

Now my favorite is a black, tan bill with Browning Fishing logo, and a couple of dirty, half painted old caps that I use in the garage and for dirty work around the house.

There is a wire frame that encloses your hat and then you put it in the dishwasher to wash it. The frame keeps the hat's shape and then you just take it out and let it dry. Put the dishwasher to a good use rather than washing dishes .... that used to keep the wife occupied.

I used to wear a hat religiously, but for some reason or other got out of the habit. I had several Snap-On hats that I liked, a "Deere Power" hat from the insustrical/construction side of the company, and several Caterpillar hats that I liked, including one of the good old "Cat Diesel Power" units.

It has to be one from Reynolds Farm Equipment, of Fishers, Indiana. I knew the dealership back when it was owned by R.E. (Dick) Harold and then by a couple of folks by the names of Drummond and Townsend (please forgive the memory if that one is not right). Junior Reynolds bought the dealership in 1955.

A red cap with the Chevy bowtie, and a blue streak down the side that had Chevrolet on it. Well, it was until I got it signed by Barry Switzer at a baseball game. Before that it was an old OU cap.

Black with an IH patch on the front. When it is dirty, it goes into the washing machine, but NOT into the dryer. I stretch it over a plastic coffee can, and let it air dry.
