Can someone tell me what is involved in taking
the belly pump off of a Farmall H ?

As the previous poster said, disconnect all the plumbing, control arm, and the drive coupling. There are numerous ways to lower it - threaded rods in place of two bolts, handle WITH a key welded to it through the bottom hole that goes through the casting, or simply strong arms.

It will likely be heavier than you expect it to be. KEEP YOUR HANDS, FEET, AND HEAD OUT OF THE WAY WHEN IT COMES DOWN!

It is easy, except for the pump being so dang heavy.

Drain the hydraulic oil. Remove the output plumbing. Remove the filler cap and plug the pipe. Remove the drive couplings and pump drive shaft. Support the pump, and remove the mounting bolts. Be careful not to get any dirt in the fill pipe or the output ports when the pump falls off the jack as you try to lower it.

If you are going to do much in the way of maintenance or repairs, getting a manual will make it much easier.
