Im looking for an old setter like we had on the farm.It has two big iron wheels on the back with a water tank between them and two small fat iron wheels on the front and it was a two seater.
Thanks in advance for any leads.

There should be several of them at Bielers Auction in New Holland , Pa. on Feb . 23 and 24. Last year there were at least 10 New Idea l row tabacco setters at this sale. They are used by the Amish in this area. I have my grandfathers but it is not for sale , still use it alot to transplant vegetable plants. Someone listed a picture of one somewhere on this site within the last week. Robert

Sounds like the same thing you set tomatoes with here. I think my neghbor still has a one row. If I remember correctly it is a New Idea. He used it 2 years ago, but not for tobacco.

Sometimes you"ll see them at auctions in "tobacco" country. I saw one last year in Alabama, which seemed odd, at an antique store. If I come across one I"ll holler. It"s been a -long- time since I"ve set tobacco with one.
