I have an old cargo van I use for a grease and tool truck here on the farm that I've had for 15 years. Its never given me any trouble until the other day.
It has a std. transmission with a neutral start switch on the clutch that I believe has gone bad. It died in the middle of the field and I had to tow it in. It has power to everything but the starter. My question is has anyone had a problem with one of these and can I wire around the neutral start switch?
Any suggestions will be appreciated....Bob

The clutch safety switch is likely a long, white plastic switch hooked to the clutch pedal with a plastic rod.

They are not very costly, and easy to replace.

Remove the panel beneath the steering column, and it should be visible.

Or, perhaps your starter has failed... if the brushes wear out, the solenoid may not even pull in.

A "down and dirty" trick with these Chevy starters is to rap the starter with a small hammer. If the brushes are at fault, this may jar them enough to make contact for a few more starts, and confirm the need for starter eapir or replacement.

Bob, thanks for the input. I don't think its the starter since it died while I was driving it. I'm more inclined to think its that clutch switch. Thanks again.....
