Some of the H"s and M"s had full sectors,(most didnt). Those with full sectors can be repositioned to use a fresh spot in the sector thus tightening up the slack between the sector and the worm gear. Also make sure there is no lateral play (back and forth) in the worm gear shaft. If that doesnt improve the wobbling, then short of rebuilding the steering gear system, you can remove the lower pedistal (the part that the front wheels are attached), and have a wedge shim made going from 5/8 in at the front to 1/4 at the rear. That will give your lower pedistal a back rake similar to a castor. That will also reduce some of the wobbling. You can also try different speeds in high gear and see if the wobble will cease in any one speed. YOu may not be able to run wide open, but close to it if the wobble isnt too bad in the first place. Remember, the tractor was designed to run primarily in the field, not on the road, so most everyone I know lives with a little wobble in road gear because it doesnt affect the performance in the field unless the wobble is really bad. In that case its time for a rebuild.

Be sure you have no tire or rim problems. Run one wheel up on a board and then spin the other checking for a bad tire or rim. Also check for wobble from the bearing. It could be worn or the nut could be loose. This will cause wobble. Next check the U Joint in the steering shaft. If non of that works then pull the hood and grill and remove the worm gear cover plate, on the top of the steering column. In there you will find a worm gear and a sector gear. Check for worm gear bearing wear, sector gear wear and the sector nut tightness. Good luck.
