Auction coming up on May 11 in Spartanburg, SC(Kissimme Auctions) Went by today to look at the stock. Mostly construction equipment, saw about 2 doz. farm tractors. Mostly Dupont rebuilds, about 3-4 nice ones. Some they have not got around to painting yet. Some came from construction companies and were rough looking. They always have some European models. Some of these appear to have come from Belgium. I wonder how bad a tractor has to be before a dealer, foreign or local, sells it through an auction rather than selling it locally.

Sale brochure directions say take Exit 2C off of Business I85. They put signs along the route. It is between Business I85 and the new I85.

It would also be interesting to know how many of those tractors appear to have sold for a high price but turn up later at another auction. I've seen that happen several times.

Yeah, I have too. Sometimes there is one that is too junky to sell, like the one with very gray crankcase oil, and they send it on to look for a sucker some where else. Another thing we look out for in this state is old highway dept. tractors. Yellow paint under the blue is a dead giveway. Recently the hwy. dept. started buying original color tractors, probably so they would resell better.
