I have just recently purchased a belarus 250AS and know little to nothing about tractors. The Hydraulic lift was working fine and then after a day of using it, it won't pick up anymore... we thought it was low on oil (i do know it takes HD30 motor oil) and we put nearly 3/4 of a 2 gallon bottle in the reservior... but it still won't pick up. If you hold up on the lever and pick up on the bushhog with several people, it will go up and stay up after you let go of lever, and it will also drop when you push down lever... Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem?

Nick,

The 250AS I run has two hydraulic levers. The lever on the left (closest to your leg) raises and lowers implements. The right hand lever is for the remote hydraulics. Make sure that the remote hydraulic lever is in the centered position. IIRC if it is pushed forward or if it is pulled back it will not operate the three point correctly.

By chance is there a lever to the right of the drivers seat? Pull the lever all the way back and lock it in place. At least that works with a 400. Just thought I'd take a guess

I would doulbe check to see what fluid it takes and ill check to make sure im not up in the night if needed we have a service manual too. Hy-Trans from Wally World. That could be half your problem. Nothing against Wally World, but the Hy-Trans from my International dealer pours like honey. The stuff from Wally World pours like water.

I'd say there's a difference.
