Now, I'm brand new to all this, but learning fast. (I think.) sediment bowl on my new old Int'l 584 was leaking, so I went to tighten the top nut and the bottom brass drain screw---which sheared off right in my hand. To the Case dealer down the road, first of all the parts guy is a genius, because the online catalog was all screwed up, showed three different parts (none of them the right one) so he found it off another model. The little brass screw (which fits insided the hollow drain screw) is going to cost me $35.00! Plus of course the new hollow screw, and filters....If the cheap *&%$# I got this thing from had just invested in a couple of new washers, he wouldn't have had to crank it so tight, and I wouldn't have discovered the high price of very small parts! There. I feel better now.....

If your locak TSC doesn't have them for some reason try NAPA, I know I've seen them in their catalogs. It's suprising what all they carry if you can find somebody who'll take a minute to look in the paper catalogs for you.

Case-IH and all the other major lines have doubled the price of their parts in the past 2 years. You deffinitely need to be sitting down when you price them!

Yep, I hear that. Went looking for a belt for my old Case 655 swather. The parts guy says $100 and 3 days away. Called around and the JD dealer had one 2 days out quick shipped and with shipping it cost me $68. JD got me a bargain?? :>)

You can get the whole replacement bowl assemblt at TSC for less. I got one for my 454 last year, and one for my 8N 3 years ago. Both are working great.
