$400 or any reasonable offer accepted.

Ok what does this term mean to you?

Does it mean if someone wants $400 for an item and I offer $300 he will sell it to me.

Because 300 is reasonable.

Or does it mean he will just accept the offer without feeling he is obligated to sell it to me for my offer.

Its a term used in ads that I would never use because it is so open to trouble.

Gary

Aloha, Give him the $400 and it's yours to take home. Anything less, he will think about it.

The key word here is "reasonable". As a buyer, your idea of reasonable is probably not the same as what the seller considers to be reasonable. I've tried selling items on eBay using the "best offer" feature. I had to quit doing that, 1/4 or less of the asking price is not my idea of reasonable.

Who knows if there is a hidden meaning. I take it to mean $400 or less. If you don't think it is worth $400, then offer $300. Probably the highest dollar will take it. Sometimes I have seen people sell stuff on the firstoffer.A lot of people just want rid of things and don't want to be bothered with negotiators.I have also run into my fair shair of tire kickers and all they do is waste my time.

I agree,

These poor people are doing their darndest to unload this tractor. They are trying to give it away and nobody seems to want it.

Read between the lines and this one is a money maker for sure.

If this tractor were within 500 miles of me, I would have bought that thing within the first hour. I really don't think it needs much more that a little cleaning up. But the darned thing is in Maryland and the freight is a fer-sure deal killer.

Kinda feel sorry for the folks 'cause to them they are standing there holding a boon doggle. :>(
