I really didn't want to see that Chris.... We finally had some rains in June and a tenth last night. Still not enough to lift burn ban during the 4th and no fireworks. Rains been very spotty though with some not getting much and others like by Tucumcari NM 100 miles to the NW getting over 6" in a week but not here. It just brought on the weeds of every kind now to fight till time to plant wheat if we get enough moisture for that. Most can't afford to miss another crop here from this drought.

Some localized improvement here but just a few miles east it is real bad.

Well, for one thing...the frost should go out on the north side of the buildings. Just looked at the Pierre, SD forecast for the week. Temperatures predicted: 96-104-105-106-107!!!

Hi Chris,

Just normal Nebraska summertime. Next schedualed moisture will be this fall. Or, maybe next year. :>)

Check out that little brown in northern MN. That is quite a uniqe site for MN. And we have the forcast of hot and dry here too. I could post a picture of the mighty Mississippi about a mile from my house, but its so low its hard to see water. just weeds and grass its flowen through. Least I dont have to worry about it flooden me out. lol Bob

Hi Gary; I should have said a mile from the farm up there. It is 7 miles north of Lake Itasca. The house is 2 miles east of Lake Bemdiji on the Mississippi. Quite a lot bigger here but nothing compared to going south. We lived in Biloxi Miss. for a while (military) and went to New Orleans a few times. Thats a big difference. Course, just the Missouri doubles it. Ever get up this way? What are your relatives last name? Do they farm? Bob
