If the 2000 series is like the 4000 series even though it's a Select-o-Speed it'll have a clutch disc driving everything. It's basically a standard clutch disc but it's set up with a large spring washer to keep pressure applied to it full time, more or less an overrunning clutch. That said, several years back we had a customers 4000 series tractor showing the same symptoms your describing with yours. When we got it opened up we found the problem was in the clutch and not the transmission itself. As the engine speed increased the clutch would catch and pull the tractor but with a lower engine speed it would slip and it wouldn't do anything. I'm sure there are other things that can cause the same problem but this is the one I've seen. Good luck.

Don't know anything about Fords, so can't help, but you might have better luck if you try posting on the Ford form. Good luck, Gene
