Are the boom cylinders on an International 2000 loader rebuildable? They creep down and I'd like to know if I can restore them. Is it a cost or time prohibitive operation? Thanks.

Thanks for the ideas. I think I'll call my friendly, neighborhood IH dealer and see what Brian can find for me.

Not sure about those cyls. but you might want to
checkout the valve body. Leaking down can take
place there as well. I paid $250 to have one cyl.
rebuilt so it can get costly.

Most likely they can be and the packing most of the time don't cost all that much. But some cylinders can be a bear to rebuild and others easy as pie. One the other hand there are shops that do them and the price isn't all that bad either. We just had one done that we could get right and it cost around $50 to have done. We tried 2 times to do it but one seal just wouldn't work right. But we also found out they where sending use the wrong kit which didn't help
