I noticed that. So have our hay burner horses. Feeding time is sunset, and it's a lot sooner after my dinner than it was!

I have about 6 acres to get ploughed and re-seeded and I just can't seem to find enough daylight anymore to get-r-done. Gonna be some hungry cattle next year if'n I get to it....

Tell me about it. We have 60 acres of wheat straw to bale, and it so wet and foggy its gonna be 2:00 before we can even get going at it today. The comes chopping silage, then beans, then corn, then hauling the cattle donations for fert, and this is all for a freinds farm. Oh well, ya gotta love right?

Yeah But,

It's easy fer me to sit here and beller; can easily do this dryland thing standing on one leg. Sure don't have near the chores that you guys do that's fer sure.

All I gotta do is get the darned hay off. Then, I'm gonna ride that silly plow on 46 acres of old alfalfa if I have any daylight left before the frost sets in.

Not really a big deal fer me 'cause I can always catch the plowin' in the spring. I just like to hear myself *itch and moan. :>)

Wait till this week end..cold. And while we are at it,why not change the stupid clocks back at labor day so the kiddies don't have to stand out in the dark to catch the school bus.

chilly mornings. Yep, looks like fall. I was just thinking, I've been laid up since July 12, seems like a long time.

Did gettin' rid of that bum kidney stop your back from hurtin' so darned much? Where the problems connected?

No, the problems are not related. I have some bad disks but they have prtty well healed up for now. now if this knife wound would just quit hurting, I could get back to work.

Yep,

That's exactly what I told my step dad.

Ya gotta remember that you were just in a fancy knife fight and ya lost. It's gonna sting fer awhile, that's fer sure. Those darned muscles take a long time to tie back up.

Ya, and before we went to Minnisota it was 90 and humid down here and no moisture. We go north, where it"s 68 at noon last Monday, come home and it"s the same down here. Ifn I"da known that I"d have gone up there in May so it would have been cooler down here then. Third hottest summer on record here. Yuck. Harley

There was one day in 1954 that hit 113, Harley
My BIL was raised about 15 miles Southwest of Monett, and his two Granddads lived a 1/4 of a mile apart died two two days apart from heat strokes in 1954. Jim
