I pull an old IH 10 foot with my WD (33HP) and it does ok. If I angle the gangs to the max I can sure tell and the WD chugs a bit but still pulls her. I have no fluid in the tires or rear weights of any kind so she will spin a bit on the uphill grades.

Thank Yaw'l very much.I wouldn't have known the difference. Any thing else tricky I need to look out for? Other than all the usual things to look for in buyin' used?
Thanks'

Make sure the hand clutch works good and give you live PTO. Also look close at the seat because the bushing wears and then it sort of flops side to side. Also look close at the lower area of the PTO, I've seen more then one that was cracked/broken in that area

It should handle an 8 ft. disc. It depends on the soil and moisture conditions.

Well a WD-45 is rated at 43HP by the neb test, and the WD is 34HP. Big thing is to make sure that it is a WD or WD-45. The engine will fit in either tractor and if you don't know what to look at/for you can end up with a WD instead of a WD-45. If all you do is walk up to either they look pretty much the same. The WD-45 engine will not have a side plate on the right side of the engine but the WD will have a side plate that is bolted on. Either one will handle a 6 foot heavy disc well maybe a little more depending on how much weight you put on it
