I got a Farmall 504 gas a couple years back and now am noticing a little clutch slipage especially when starting out pulling an impliment in road gear. What is the best way to seperate the front from the back? Should I make a trolley for the front part and how should I make it? By the way, it is a narrow front. I plan on replacing the TA clutch also.

When I split my 460 (first timer) I made a rectangular 3 sided frame out of angle iron that bolted to the side of the tranny case and came down about a foot from the ground. I used a floor jack to support it and the whole rear end rolled back easy. I supported the back end of the engine with a chainfall, which stayed stationary. Worked pretty good. G
