Hi Guys,

Took a few minutes to run this 31-year-old IH 1066 tractor out for a shake down cruise yesterday to check it all out and make a list of everything that needs repaired before I put it in the field.

The air cleaner indicator doesn't work and the paint is faded. :<(

I'm tellin' ya, a feller just can't buy quality anymore. :>)

Allan

Here in East-Central Wi., we have two excellent warrantees. The tailight warrantee expires when the seller can't see your tailights anymore and the 50-50 warrantees covers everything for 50 feet or 50 seconds which ever comes first.

Allen

You gonna run that 10 on the baler so you can stay out of the dust?

That's what I was thinking.

Maybe shake it out on the baler. Then, if all is well, I'll strap it to the plow and nose it into that fall plowing project.

Just got the center link for it yesterday 'cause they had to order one in.

I've never owned a CAT III hitch before; that sucker sure is built heavy. :>)

Pacin' the floor waitin' for it to get light around here.

Hopin' to get that loader up off the ground this morning. And, without having to replace any cylinder seals, I'm hopin'.... :>)

Well, it's still dark here too. I guess we could stay up later at night but it's dark then too.

However,

I was told that it came with a new type of used equipment warranty that the company is now promoting.

If it should ever break down, I get to keep the pieces. :>)

Here in NY that is known as the Arkansas guarantee: 'If it breaks, you own all the pieces.'

Several years ago a friend bought a Hesston PT-10 moco, well used, abused, and cheap. He was told that "it comes with our famous seven and seven warranty, seven minutes or until you turn onto route seven, whichever happens first." The dealer in question was located a scant quarter mile off route seven, but my friend turned the other way onto the back roads, and thereby got his whole seven minutes. The mower actually lasted him several years.

Mornin Allan

That warranty may sound funny to you butttt

I have a neighbor that bought some new bearings and the old ones where shot and he forgot them at the shop he made the purchase from.

He turned around and went back to get the wore out bearings so he could sell them for scrap.

So that waranty ain't all bad.
