I don't have a FErris, but do ahve a simplicity, which is the same unit, except it uses Briggs engine. due to the dry weather I have only used it once, but so far really like it. I bought mine because of the independent suspension. I have a bad back and an artificakl knee. I have a friend in Mississippi that is parts manager for a dealer that sells Ferris as well as othe brands, and he thinks Ferris is the top of the line

Now owned by Briggs & STratton, too many moving parts. Looks to be a part eater after it gets a little time on it. The service is only as good as the dealer selling it, one person pointed out the downside of it was parts and service took a long time to get, other than that don't look too bad, looks a little pricey for what you get. They are also sold under the Simplicity name if you have a Simplicity dealer close by.

Kinfolk has one, 60 inch I think.
Is about four years old, He likes it. Has lots of grease fitting which he says will
make it last longer.

Never heard of it. I have a Kubota ZD21 with a 60" deck. Best investment I ever made. Kubota diesel engine and drivetrain built together as a unit, not cobbled together from several different suppliers like a lot of these outfits do. Parts and service support are great, all though I rarely need them due to the great reliability.

have two at work that get run every weekday in the season. nice ride, good mowers, fast
bad takes three weeks to 2 months to get parts. second one we bought took 2 weeks to get 7 hours on it and wouldn't stay running then was in the shop over two months waiting on a fuel pump. Same story everytime something goes out, mower clutch, drive belts. etc.
Dealer quit handling them, have had to find another dealer. WON'T buy anymore due to parts availablity.
Recomend the Hustler SuperZ not as nice a ride BUT can get parts for them.
