looking at a chevy 3500 and not real familiar with chevys. Anyone have one? It has a hydo boost thing in front of the master cylinder that just has a plastic nut type piece in it and it is leaking around there.
Is it a biggie to fix or?
Any probs in general with this year chevy? 454 4 speed .
thanks

What is it leaking, hyd, power steering oil or brake fluid? Brake fluid will wash off with water oil wont. A small hyd leak is no big deal just keep the power steering full, brake fuuid fix it now. I haven`t priced a hydro-boost for a long time but I am thinking they were around 150.00 cash 450.00 installed.

I've got an 89, 454 and TH400 automatic, 4 wheel drive.

It's a beast. Thirsty, but a beast. No problems outside of the usual wear items, tho it is a bit harder on frontend parts and tires than I feel is necessary. Not familiar with the specific brake issue you have, but I wouldn't think it'd be that hard to fix.
