Just listed a tractor for sale and within 1 hour already had 2 scammers try there "I buy, pay with money order and client will include money for shipping". What do these guys think, we are stupid ??? Just the language they use is a tip off. " I am Bill by name". Who starts off a letter like that ??? How and what can be done about them ?? Their email addresses are both with yahoo.com

Just ignore them Sam. It don't do no good to get worked up over it. A lot of them operate off-shore.

I always wanted to make the deal and receive payment, deposit and see if it clears. If not file charges for fraud, if it clears let her go.
Everyone says no before they get the funds. Who Knows?

I ran an ad for 2 Frazier garden tillers one time. Wasn't 2 days until i got the standard e-mail thing--! "I send check for twice what you want for tillers. You crate them and ship to Lower Slobbovia! Use enough funds from check to pay for crating and shipping, and the price you want. Then send balance to me via money order, or W. Union! And, we'll be most happy! Ohhh, yeah!" What they don't say is that the check is no good. It will cash at the bank, but later on the bank finds out its counterfeit, and by that time, the money is removed from your bank account to satisfy the bad cashiers check they sent and you fell for! And, you have also lost the balance of the money you sent back to them-per their orders! This scam has been covered in great length early-on, on the Internet. Look up internet scams on the net, or some title like that. there is a web-site that has all the info. Makes great reading!

Hey Sam, I would be buying your tractor for $12,000.00 by certified cheque. By name I am called Hadji. I will send to you my good cheque on certified Bank of Mozambique and If you would be so kind as to cash the cheque and keep all but $1000.00 U.S. for yourself and Western Union the $1000.00 back to my brother in laws email address I would be most happy. My brother in law is common on this site and goes by Ahkmed the wonderful. Most thanks in advance, Hadji the Insignificant.
