Hi All,

Wheweeee! This is turning into an ordeal!

Called a friend down the road 'bout a 100 miles away and he is sending me an old air conditioning condenser that just might work for this 1066. Says all the fins need to be combed, but it seems to be intact otherwise.

So, in the meantime, I turn my task to finding something that will work for moving air thru the condenser box and in the proper direction.

Dug this old swamp cooler out of the junk and used a chop saw to remove the fan and housing. Hooked 'er up to a battery and it still works great (1965 vintage).

Now, I gotta figure out how to mount it up to that condenser box lid and still maintain clearance away from the condenser itself. Once that is all done, I'll rip into a second swamp cooler and do the whole process over again.

Just wintertime fun. :>)

I am still laughing about Linclon with "Side Air" . You might try Electric cooling fan from a late model auto . Thats what they use on some trucks .

Yeah, me too.

That was, how should we put it, "creative"? :>)

My object here is to not spend another dime on the darned old tractor and just use what resources I have lying about.

However, if it looks like it is gonna get into my wallet, I'll opt for a generic condenser out in front of the radiator.

But, that would mean another hornet's nest of plumbing headaches as far as the hoses and receiver goes. Not to mention, that I'll have to relocate that darned high pressure switch and it's wiring. :>(

I spent all yesterday morning trying to find a complete "box" and just couldn't locate one that was in good shape.

You have one that hasn't been "ripped" and "torn" apart? Yes, I'd really be interested in the factory setup.

Email is open,

Allan

Or,

Even just the "lid" with the fans, motors and their mounting hardware.

Thanks,

Allan
