Howdy,

Well, had to wait till the weekend to get my new toy out and try it. With my "R" getting a new crankshaft seal put in (when I get more time) and a few rounds of fall plowing left I thought I"d hook up the new 720 deere and run it through the motions. I loved the easy hose hookup as compared to the R"s outlets that set back under the platform in a precarious place. The only problem was when I got up in the seat and pulled the lever back nothing happened. Huh? I proceeded to the filler plug and checked the fluid level. Added more till it was plenty full. Gave it another shot and still no hydraulics. I tried changing the lever down beside the gear shift and still nothing. I even thought that the pedal which works the pto might be doing something. Nope, every possible combination of that pedal and the lever were tried but to no avail. I couldn"t even get the danged lift arms on the rockshaft to move. Someone please tell me that I am doing something (or not doing something for that matter) that is so simple that I"ll look stupid in the end. Cause right now I feel like the kid on Christmas morning who gets a remote control car but Santa forgot to leave any batteries. A nice looking toy but can"t use it. God bless.

Couldn't you use some short hoses and some quick couplers on the end on that R to extend them out to where you can get at them ?

Hydralic must be shut off. This disengauges the pump. Under near flywheel on diesel on top near flwheel on gas. Three inch knob has on on one end off on the other . tractor must be off to enguage this. Deib

Hot dog!

Thanks deib. Glad it was something simple. This thing is a little more complex than the R's setup. I called a neighbor who has one and he mentioned an on/off knob but didn't mention the location. I just assumed the one up near the pto pedal had just lost it's markings. Good to know this thing isn't a dud but with the rear work light being burned out (along with the wires) and a rainy week ahead I guess I'll have to wait even longer to try it out. Doggone it anyway. God bless and thanks again.
