Does anyone know where you can buy a splitter stand for 4430,4020s? Did a google search and found nothing of value. Thanks.

I built this set several years ago using some heavy side crank implement jacks, a pair of 2,500lb capacity caster wheels and some 3/8" plate for about a $100. We've used them to split everything from our Super H to our 5488 with no problems. The caster wheels are a mixed blessing, they let you roll the front half of the tractor anywhere you want but it takes two people to push it in a straight line.

Another HM idea is to use Bulldog jacks- one on each side, heavy side plate to bolt to tractor frame, tie bar near the bottom for stability.

Cofer makes splitting stands. I made a set myself patterned off them. They work good and are universal. Click on link below picture.

I worked for a Deere dealer back in the early seventies. We used splitting stands made by OTC. Owatonna tool corporation.

It is not too hard to make a set. Some flat steel plate drill holes to match frame holes weld on some square tubing for legs, large all thread and nuts for adjustable feet slid up into tubing.Bolt one on each side. Might be a good idea to fasten a brace between the two legs near the bottom so they can't kick out on a large tractor.
