does anyone out there know what it takes to convert a hervestor silo into a grain bin?

I know people have done it but I dont know what they did

any Ideas would be helpful

It cost me about $6400 to convert one in 2002. I had the roof vent made at a local sheet metal shop and used a motor that I already had on the unloading auger to save some dollars. Prices have most likely gone up since 2002. My only complaint is the floor has some sags where it meets the wall of the harvestore. The floor on mine was not attached to the wall. It is only held up by the four inch tall floor supports. I used the Cady System. Here is a link to them:

You need some time of aeration system. Google for Cady Aeration or Hanson Silo Company in Lake Lillian, MN. May be others around the country as well.
